The Ecology Consultancy’s Sussex office is situated on the outskirts of Lewes
Our 28 full-time expert ecologists and supporting staff work on projects ranging from single house builds, historic building renovation and housing schemes to district wide ecology assessments, green infrastructure and large-scale habitat creation.
Recent projects have included coastal and national infrastructure schemes and monitoring work for Natural England. The team includes specialist botanists and ecologists licensed by Natural England to carry out protected species surveys as well as acting as named ecologists on development licences. This includes several experienced ecologists who are Registered Consultants on Natural England’s class licensing schemes for bats and badgers. They maintain regular contact with planning departments, local authority ecologists and Natural England.
As part of our outreach work, we hold briefing sessions for clients and local businesses.
