Our Northern Office, situated in Wakefield, provides high quality ecological consultancy services to our clients across the north of England, geographically connecting our Midlands, East Anglia and Scotland Offices.
Our Northern team can provide you with a diverse range of ecological services, drawing on our collective technical expertise and experience of the region’s biodiversity, planning and policy gained over the past 20 years to ensure you receive the best results for your project.
We specialise in the provision of bespoke, pragmatic solutions for our clients by working closely with design teams to offer a wide range of specialist ecological services for every stage of the development process, from inception to delivery. Our solutions are tailored to the local area and incorporate diverse options that include: Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, site optioneering, protected species surveys, habitat surveys, habitat creation and habitat management. We also offer the design and implementation of species mitigation programmes including the translocation of various protected species: reptiles, great crested newts, dormouse and water vole. Our service offering also includes site monitoring, Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM, Ecological Impact Assessment, Habitats Regulations Assessment, planning application review, and experienced and diligent expert witness services.
Our collective expertise covers small to large-scale projects for commercial, statutory and private clients in the region including major infrastructure projects, remediation works for brownfield sites, biodiversity audits, policy reviews, and large-scale urban expansions and housing developments.
In line with the aspirations and objectives of our clients, our core aim is to make use of the solutions available to deliver the best outcomes for nature conservation. We have a particular focus on the integration of ecology into schemes from an early outset and work hard to ensure delivery of effective, efficient approaches to mitigation and management based on our sound practical and theoretical knowledge.
Our base in the region is our office in Wakefield, led by Associate Director Dr Sarah Cox, a Chartered Ecologist and Environmentalist, in addition we also operate out of the Manchester office of our sister company, Temple Group, allowing us to deliver our services across the entire North region. Working closely with our other offices across the country we ensure our clients receive the highest quality services compliant with industry best practice, legislation and planning policy.
We offer client briefing sessions and CPD at our own premises in Manchester, or alternatively one of our team can travel to visit you.
