Sasha Dodsworth BSc MSc MCIEEM is an ecologist with 11 years’ experience in consultancy with an emphasis on protected species survey and mitigation works. In addition to protected species work she also carries out extended Phase One habitat surveys, Hedgerow Assessments, BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes assessments and has a good understanding of habitats and plant identification. Sasha has held a PTS card for the last 10 years which has enabled her to undertake numerous rail line ecological surveys across the country.
In her current role as Principal Ecologist for The Ecology Consultancy, Sasha manages small to large scale projects, which can involve a team of up to 10 ecologists, and specialises in ecological works for railway and other infrastructure developments. Along with project management, she also carries out a range of protected species surveys and protected species mitigation projects, in particular for great crested newts, reptiles, water vole, badgers and bats. She has produced successful applications for Natural England European Protected Species Mitigation and Badger Development Licences, ES Ecology chapters, impact assessments and ecological management plans required for planning.
