Alex Ramsay is an Associate Director with over 20 years’ experience in consultancy, and the academic and NGO sectors. He is a Chartered Environmentalist, Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society and a full member of CIEEM.
He has been project and framework lead on a number of major infrastructure projects, particularly linear infrastructure schemes (highways, rail, onshore cable routes, oil and gas pipelines), as well as writing ES chapters for a number of large development schemes (primarily housing and quarry expansion schemes) and co-ordinating and leading multi-species field survey and mitigation teams on a range of projects.
He has provided expert advice to clients on a range of complex projects and liaised with statutory and non-statutory stakeholders to help secure planning consent.
Alex is also an invertebrate specialist and has undertaken large scale invertebrate surveys for a range of clients as well as conducting research surveys in a number of countries worldwide.
