Statutory Agencies

The Ecology Consultancy works closely with statutory agencies, and other conservation bodies, on a range of projects in designated conservation and protected areas

Working closely with land owners, local authorities and statutory agencies such as Natural England we support and help maintain Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), Special Areas of Conservation (SACs), Special Protection Areas (SPAs) and Ramsar sites.

We provide ecological services to local authorities, Wildlife Trusts and conservation groups to support the biodiversity on Local Wildlife Sites (also known as Sites of Importance for Nature Conservation (SINCs), Sites of Nature Conservation Importance (SNCIs) and County Wildlife Sites). Our teams of ecologists have conducted reviews of existing and potential Local Wildlife Sites and provided species and habitat surveys in support of sites put forward for consideration by Local Wildlife Site panels. Part of the service includes reporting to Local Wildlife Site panel meetings.

We also work with organisations, such as the Woodlands Farm Trust, providing training workshops for local communities and volunteers.
