The Ecology Consultancy is delighted to report we have been contracted by Scottish Natural Heritage to undertake site condition monitoring for breeding birds at a number of localities in Scotland. From April to June the breeding populations of eider, shelduck and ringed plover at specified sites around the Firth of Forth will be monitored while assessment of breeding bird populations at five other sites between Fife and Perthshire will be carried out over a similar period.

As part of the site condition monitoring programme any influences which may impact on the breeding success of target species will be noted.

Phil Davey, from our Scotland office in Edinburgh, will head up the work.
