“The third Kaiser Challenge was simply amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed leading my team around the lake and then up and down the Bristol and Somerset countryside. We had a day filled with smiles and laughter as well as a few tears, a broken brake cable, a few crashes, exhaustion, a lot of distance-based questions, torrential rain descending Cheddar Gorge and more. But ultimately we stuck together, we made it as a team and we did it for Kaiser”, said Sarah Nicholas, our Senior Ecologist.
“Every year I’m astounded by the courage and tenacity shown by a group of people, most of whom are Alex Kaisers’ friends. His fiancé Sarah Hoare puts this event together every year. She calls us all super heroes, firstly because we are wearing lycra (!) but secondly for our individual effort”.
The Kaiser Challenge has raised over £10k this year and over £100k in three years for the Cardio-Myopathy Association in Kaiser’s honour.
