The Ecology Consultancy hosted an expert-led CPD session at its London offices and welcomed 20 representatives from the architectural and planning sectors on a bitterly cold evening.

Our BREEAM expert, Jon Riley, took the group through the land use and ecology sections of the assessment, bringing everyone up to date on the BREEAM 2011 New Construction environmental sections, whilst our visitors enjoyed wine and nibbles.

The BREEAM New Construction scheme can be used to assess the environmental life cycle impacts of new non-domestic buildings at the design and construction stages. This includes development within the UK that results in a new stand-alone structure, or new extension to an existing structure.
