The new updated toolkit by CIRIA and The Ecology Consultancy, Working with Wildlife: Guidance for the construction industry, has been published. Our MD, John Newton, and his business partner, the late Barry Nicholson, were co-authors.
The toolkit is an essential
reference for all those in the construction industry who need to be up-to-date
with wildlife issues in the course of their work. A wide range of people in the
industry, including developers, contractors, architects and planners, will find
it invaluable. It places emphasis on the fact that finding wildlife on
your development site can be turned into an asset, and illustrates how getting
it wrong can slow down the whole process and potentially cost money. To
keep up-to-date and to stay on the right side of the legislation it is
