What does the IT Technician do?

The IT technician will provide support to the GIS/Project Management team as well as to the rest of the company to ensure that all IT issues are dealt with speedily and efficiently and the project management systems/financial management systems provide useful data to the company with minimum processing. The Ecology Consultancy employs an external consultancy to manage its IT issues and the appointed person will be responsible for informing them of problems as they arise and co-ordinating their activities to ensure a value for money service is provided. You will be willing to undertake other duties as may be reasonably required and to work as part of a team to contribute to the efficiency of The Ecology Consultancy.

The post will be based in our London office and is eligible for part –time working.

Person specification

You will have

• An appropriate degree (desirable but not essential)
• Excellent IT skills and knowledge of MS Office, MS Access, MS Visio and Windows SharePoint services.
• Knowledge of web design is desirable
• Knowledge of and/or interest in ecology
• Experience of quality management systems desirable
